The Town of Liberty will hold a public hearing on the draft generic environmental impact statement (DGEIS), comprehensive plan updates and local law on updating zoning codes, on Monday, February 27. The hearing will take place at the Liberty High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. The snow date will be February 28, 2017 at 7 p.m., if needed.
“We encourage Town of Liberty residents to review the available documents and to come to the Public Hearing to express support or concerns relating to the changes,†said Town of Liberty Supervisor Charlie Barbuti. “Your town board is committed to carefully balancing the need for a commercial tax base, while preserving the rural nature of our town.â€
Public hearing documents are currently available on the town web page at www.townofliberty.org. Due to the large size of the documents only a summary of highlights will be available at the hearing. Copies are also available at the Town Hall for viewing as well.
