Sullivan County’s 6th Annual Soap Box Derby This Weekend

LIBERTY, N.Y. (May 24, 2017) – It’s that time of year – Sullivan County announced its 6th annual Soap Box Derby, taking place on Sunday, May 28th at North Main Street in the Town of Liberty with lots of fun and excitement in store for all.

The race officially begins at 8:00 a.m. and will continue through 6:00 p.m. Food vendors will be on-site along with Liberty ShopRite who will have a booth set-up with lots of goodies for attendees. Spectators and volunteers are welcomed. Those interested in volunteering to help with the race should contact Carol at (845) 292-5770.

“We are excited for the Soap Box Derby this year,” said Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Assistant Recreation Director James Guara. “It’s a great local community event for Memorial Day weekend and we have lots of fun-filled activities for all to enjoy.”
