Town of Liberty Announces 2019 Summer Day Camp Sign Up

Fun-filled camp at Hanofee Park offers games, adventure and much more.

LIBERTY, N.Y. (February 11, 2019) – Registration will begin in April for the popular Hanofee Park Summer Day Camp in the Town of Liberty. Town of Liberty residents can register their children beginning Monday, April 1, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. in the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation main office. non-resident registration will begin Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. Registration continues during regular office hours thereafter and will end on June 7, 2019 or once camp spots are full.

Camp will start on Monday, July 1, 2019 and end on Friday, August 16, 2019. Full day (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), morning (8 a.m. to noon) or afternoon (noon to 5 p.m.) sessions are available for children ages 5 through 13.

Rates for Town of Liberty residents are $550.00 for full day, $365.00 for morning sessions, or $390.00 for afternoon sessions. Rates for nonresidents are $660.00 for full day, $425.00 for morning sessions, or $450.00 for afternoon sessions. Rates include complimentary breakfast and lunch provided by the Liberty Central School District through the Summer Food Rocks program. Proof of residency (tax or utility bill), a copy of the camper’s birth certificate, current immunization records and payment in full are required at registration.

Swim lessons are a separate program and fee. The lessons will be held twice a week in the morning hours of camp for six weeks. Pre-registration is required and swim registration forms can be picked up at the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation office.

A parent information meeting will be held at the Liberty Senior Center on June 12, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. to review and discuss camp. The meeting will be held at the Liberty Senior Center.
