Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation Announce ‘Light Up Main Street’ Event & Second Annual Gingerbread House Contest

Celebrate the 51st Lighting of the Liberty Star and more!

LIBERTY, N.Y. (November 29, 2018) – Get in the holiday spirit with The Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation department! This year’s Light Up Main Street and Gingerbread House Contests have been announced.

Take a stroll down Liberty’s own winter wonderland on Main Street during the “Light Up Main Street” event. Come sing Christmas carols and light up each storefront downtown. Join us on December 1, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. and enjoy the main event of lighting up Liberty Town Hall and the Liberty Star.

The Second Annual Gingerbread House contest will take place this year as well. The contest is the perfect way to spread holiday cheer. All entries must be delivered to the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation department in completed form on or before Friday, November 30 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The winner(s) for each division will be announced on Liberty Parks and Recreation Main Stage.
