Town of Liberty Plans Annual Halloween Parade for Saturday, October 28

Local families are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the floats and festivities.

LIBERTY, N.Y. (October 10, 2017) – The Town of Liberty’s annual Halloween Parade will take place Saturday, October 28. The parade will step off at 12:00 noon, and marchers and floats will journey down Main Street. Lineup for the parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the municipal parking lot behind the Elks Lodge.

There will be judging of floats and costumes prior to the parade, and awards will be handed out following the parade at the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Main Stage on Main Street. Those that walk in the parade and are dressed in costume will be given out cookies and cider.

“This annual event is one that many look forward to every October,” said Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Assistant Recreation Director James Guara. “It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit, enjoy the festivities and win some prizes.”

A rain date for the parade is scheduled for Sunday, October 29 with lineup scheduled for 1:00 p.m., judging at 1:30 p.m. and step off scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
