Walnut Mountain Park covers a total of 265 acres on the top of Walnut Mountain.  At an elevation of 2,157 feet above sea level, this park is the highest point in the Town of Liberty, and the second highest point in Sullivan County.

Park Hours:

May 1 - September 30:     8AM to Dusk                                              
October 1 - April 30:        Closed

 

Breathtaking views such as this are par for the course at Walnut Mountain Park.  

At the foot of Walnut Mountain and bordering Lake Street, this area has been transformed into a picnic spot, complete with ample parking and grills.
