Team’s “historic season” brought excitement and pride to the entire community.

LIBERTY, N.Y. (December 8, 2015) – A recognition ceremony will be held Sunday, December 13 for the 2015 Liberty High School Football Team. The public is invited to line Main Street at 3:45 p.m. to show their support. The Liberty High School Football Team achieved a remarkable 11-1 season and earned the title of New York State Section 9 Class C Champions.

“We recognize the dedication and long hours of practice the Liberty High School Football Team devoted in order to achieve the title of Section 9 Champions,” said Liberty Town Supervisor Charlie Barbuti. “The team’s historic season brought pride and excitement to the entire community, and we want to express our congratulations.”

On December 7, the Liberty Town Supervisor and Town Council adopted a resolution honoring the exceptional performance of the 2015 Liberty High School Football Team. The resolution recognized all members of the community who provided support, volunteered their time and efforts, and encouraged the team’s student athletes. A copy of the resolution will be provided to the 2015 Liberty High School Varsity Football team members and coaches.
