LIBERTY – The Town of Liberty is spending $49,000 to hire a public relations firm to market itself to people in and outside Sullivan County.

Its village’s Main Street may have a dozen empty storefronts amidst an ethnically mixed variety of restaurants, tattoo parlors, cafes and supermarkets. A few businesses in the town may have either closed or moved elsewhere in the past couple of months – including Catskill Harvest Market on Route 52 and the Liberty Caribbean Soulfood Restaurant on Main Street, which says it’s moving to Monticello.
