As of April 24, 2020 Parks & Trails Will Partially Reopen in Town of Liberty

The Town of Liberty takes great pride in its Parks system. Unfortunately, the current environment has resulted in a temporary closing of all Parks. I recognize the public has abided by the orders and recommendations of the Governor and health officials by demonstrating good practices in accordance with the expert’s orders and advice. I understand the need to get out and exercise and enjoy the great rural environment that we’re fortunate to live in. For these reasons and others, I have decided to initiate a limited reopening of our Parks and Trails.

Most Liberty Town Parks and Trails will reopen at noon on Friday, April 24th. LaPolt Park, Swan Lake Park, and the Skate Park will remain temporarily closed. Playgrounds, bathrooms, and gathering places (i.e.-pavilions) will remain closed as well. All those visiting the Parks are required to adhere to the Governor’s Orders. Social distancing guidelines, wearing of masks, good hygiene practices, and limited gathering are still required.

Thank you for your patience during these challenging times. If you have any questions or concerns please email supervisordemayo@townofliberty.org and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Stay safe and help a neighbor.
