Summer Beautification Intern Supervisor
Position Description:
The Summer Beautification Intern Supervisor will work closely with Sullivan Renaissance Interns overseeing and maintaining town parks including LaPolt Park, Town Hall, Swan Lake Park, and the Parksville Rail Trail entrance. The Beautification Supervisor will work directly with the Town Supervisors Office, and the Parks and Recreation department.
Position Duties:
- Supervises and participates in the maintenance of the project areas.
- Works closely with Renaissance Interns, guiding them and facilitating a safe work environment.
- Oversees and performs activities such as planting, weeding, mulching, and litter clean-up.
- Provides instruction and safety guidelines to interns.
- Public Relations with area visitors.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- Knowledge of plant culture, maintenance, and identification
- Ability to work alone or in groups
- Self-motivated
Hours: Seasonal, 25 hours week – $17.50 / hour
Hours could be more or less depending on your schedule and motivation. May through Sept.
