Supervisor Message – July 4th – Giving Thanks

Liberty – The state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior or political views.

How appropriate that we should live in a town named Liberty as the word itself embodies what our forefathers envisioned and what we as citizens of this town so cherish and respect. However, during these challenging times, we may think our values are being compromised by restrictions imposed by Federal, State and Local Governments due to COVID-19. Despite the inconveniences, the people of our beloved Town have much to be thankful for amidst the turmoil.

We give thanks to all those who have been on the front lines since the beginning of the pandemic, those known as the Essential Workers.

We give thanks to all those who have been sacrificing and caring for others in need.

We give thanks to those who are respectful of each other’s beliefs and concerns.

We give thanks for acts of kindness and words of encouragement.

We give thanks for additional time spent with family and friends.

We are One Nation, Under God…One Nation. Let’s be unified in our endeavors to come out stronger after the storm passes.

Have a wonderful Fourth of July, enjoy the time with friends and family and stay safe.
