LIBERTY, N.Y. (June 17, 2019) – Registration is open for three of the Town of Liberty’s popular annual youth programs – Warriors Football Camp, the Liberty Warriors fall football season, and Warriors Cheerleading Team. Registration is required for all programs prior to attendance.
Warriors Football Camp begins on July 9 and continues through July 31. The summer program is for boys and girls who will be in grades 2 through 6 when the 2019 school year begins. This is a non-contact football program. Camp sessions will be held at the Liberty High School practice football field on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Warriors Football Camp also keeps children engaged with peers and active during the summer months. The program is open to both Liberty residents and non-residents, and proof of residency is required for registration. Resident cost for the month-long program is $10 per child and the non-resident cost is $20 per child.
Registration is also now open for the fall 2019 Liberty Warriors football season. Boys and girls interested in playing must be in grades 2 through 6 when the 2019 school year begins. Children must be registered by July 19. Please note that this is a tackle football league. Pads and helmets will be provided for registrants. An equipment fitting will take place on July 19, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Pads and helmets must be returned at the end of the season. All Warriors players will be able to keep their jerseys at the end of the season.
Parents should note that the Warriors are a travelling team, and some games will be played outside of Liberty. A schedule for the season, including game locations, will be available closer to the start of the season. Resident cost for the 2019 Warriors football season is $70 per child, and the non-resident cost is $80 per child. Registration is based on a first come, first served basis.
Anyone who registers for the 2019 Liberty Warriors football season will also receive FREE registration for the Warriors Football Camp in July. The package offer provides children with a great way to prepare for the fun and excitement of the upcoming season.
The Warriors Cheerleading Team is also gearing up for another season. When the Warriors football season kicks off in the fall, the Warriors Cheerleaders will be there to add to the energy and action on the field. Registration for the program is open now – for both boys and girls. Children learn basic routines and creative cheers that they will perform throughout the season. Each registered cheerleader will receive an official Warriors Cheerleading Team uniform, which must be returned at the end of the 2019 season. Resident cost to sign up to be part of the Warriors Cheerleading Team is $40 per child, and the non-resident cost is $50 per child.
