Town of Liberty Cancels Annual Easter Egg Hunt Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation has cancelled its annual Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for Saturday, March 28, amid ongoing concerns related to the spread of coronavirus. The decision to cancel coincides with national health guidelines suggesting a restriction on events and gatherings with a potential for high attendance. There is no reschedule date for this event.

At this time, Parks & Recreation has also decided to cancel its Indoor Youth Baseball Program.

These decisions come as part of a larger Town effort to minimize the potential spread and impact of coronavirus in the Town of Liberty, Sullivan County and the community at large. As part of the effort, the Town of Liberty has also closed its Town Hall and Town offices to the public, effective immediately and continuing through April 6, 2020. Town officials will reassess the situation at that time, and share a new course of action with the public.
