Town of Liberty Officials Intensify Efforts Against Illegal Dumping

LIBERTY, N.Y. (May 11, 2018) – Town of Liberty officials are intensifying efforts to stop illegal dumping throughout the town after a string of cited reports. The initiatives include quick clean-up response and surveying of areas where illegal dumping is reported. Additionally, the town has received approval for additional camera installments throughout the town to help eliminate future illegal dumping cases.

The Town of Liberty will continue to host its town clean-up initiative for local residents where dumpsters have been installed at the Highway Department for all Town of Liberty residents at no charge. The town spring clean-up will take place this weekend at the Town Barn (the corner of Ferndale Loomis and Route 52) today, May 11th and May 12th from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and May 13th from 7:30 a.m. until the dumpsters are full.

One load per household is permitted. Town officials encourage residents to use this initiative as an opportunity to continue clean-up efforts.
