Town of Liberty Parks & Rec to Host Halloween Parade

The Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its annual Town of Liberty Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

For parade participants, lineup will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the Municipal Parking Lot behind the Elks Lodge located on Oberfest Street. The Town requests that no candy be thrown from floats at any time during lineup or along the parade route.

Costume and float contests will commence during lineup at 11:30 a.m. Judging criteria includes workmanship and construction, appearance and overall presentation. Parade-goers will be treated to free Halloween treat bags, and there will be complimentary cider and cookies.

The parade will step off at 12:00 p.m. and continue along Main Street. The Town invites its community members and visitors to gather along the parade route to enjoy the many costumes, floats and community organizations who have signed up to take part in the festive, family-friendly – and not-too-frightening – celebration.

“Halloween is such a fun time of celebration enjoyed by young and old, and the Parks and Rec team really put on a great event for all ages,” said Town of Liberty Supervisor, Brian P. Rourke. “It’s fun to see the streets come alive with the creative costumes and floats, and the whole Town is really looking forward to this event.”

The Town of Liberty Halloween Parade is a rain or shine event. If you would like to register a float, please call (845) 292-7690.
