Special activities and events for the senior community to enjoy.

LIBERTY, N.Y. (February 8, 2017) – The Town of Liberty Senior Citizens Center will host weekly activities and special events for Liberty community members. The Center offers a warm and friendly atmosphere where seniors in the community can come together and enjoy an array of happenings.

Provided by the Sullivan County Office of Aging, a hot lunch will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon. Those interested must pre-order meals the day prior, and a suggested donation of $3.00 is encouraged. Following the delicious lunch, seniors are welcomed to join in on fun-filled activities. The activities will commence at approximately 12:30 p.m., once the meal is completed.

Weekly events kick off with “Free Bingo Days” on Mondays. Play bingo with fellow seniors in the community and win special prizes. Wednesday and Fridays are “Your Choice” days. Enjoy conversation with friends, use the center’s computers, play card and table games, along with billiards, table tennis and much more.

“The Town of Liberty Senior Citizens Center is a great resource for those in the community to come together,” said Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Director Brian Scardefield. “The weekly activities at the Center help to foster a welcoming and entertaining environment for seniors.”
