Festivities include stories, music, dancing and much more for local children.
LIBERTY, N.Y. (March 30, 2017) – Grab your Easter baskets and get ready for a day of fun. On Saturday, April 8th the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation will kick off its annual Easter Egg Hunt, enjoyed by children of all ages each year. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, April 9. All activities are free thanks to the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation, Liberty Public Library and Liberty Elks Lodge.
“We are thrilled to bring back our Easter Egg Hunt to Liberty residents,” said Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Assistant Recreation Director James Guara. “It’s a great way to kick off the spring season and an even better way to celebrate the holiday together with lots of fun-filled activities.”
The day’s schedule of events is as follows:
10:00 a.m. – Pet the live bunnies and color Easter pictures at the Liberty Public Library
11:00 a.m. – Egg Hunt & activities with Liberty Parks & Recreation begins. Children ages 1–8 will gather on the Liberty Elementary Softball Field for the Easter Egg Hunt, meet the Easter Bunny, and play games to win prizes!
12:00 p.m. – Gather at the Liberty Elks Lodge for lunch, take a photo with the Easter Bunny, and receive an Easter basket filled with goodies!
